We are looking for a Business Intelligence (BI) Analyst to be responsible for developing and deploying reporting and analytical solutions to our client base based on our SIS Analytics (QlikTech/QlickView) BI Product.  The role of the BI Analyst will include collaborating with client users and internal staff to:

• Design and develop query models that support their tactical and strategic reporting needs. 
• Develop and maintain procedures and views used by our BI product in dashboards and informational reporting, and spanning clinical, financial and technical areas of their organization. 
• Develop needs requirements and subsequent information validation procedures to ensure customer satisfaction and data accuracy. 
• Provide consultation and training to clients wanting to customize their views and compare data from multiple databases. 
  

Candidates must be able to demonstrate a strong understanding of financial and spreadsheet analysis concepts including:

• Review, analyze and evaluate business intelligence requirements.
• Develop metrics dashboards and reports using QlikView product.
• Primary point of contact for BI reporting and analysis needs including code development, changes, upgrades and patch application.
• Map business requirements to client data and recommend analytical reporting strategies.
• Develop procedures and build data displays that facilitate intuitive and instantaneous delivery of information.
• Design, develop and test new queries with end users.
• Assist in the identification of data integrity problems and recommend solutions.
• Work with clients to improve operational efficiencies.
• Ensure high level of communication with users to ensure that plans are constantly aligned with changing business needs.
• Develop business test conditions, test cases and scripts and coordinates user acceptance testing.
  

• Qualified candidates must have a BS in Management Information Systems or related discipline.
• Must have 3 to 5 years work experience delivering BI scripting and programming experience, preferably Qlikview but will consider other BI solutions such as Oracle BI, SAS, or Cognos.
• Strong BI experience required.
• Must have strong database expertise (ideally Oracle) including web portal architecture and relational database structures
• Experience with Business Objects (Crystal Reports 10 or higher) a plus.
• Experience with creating and running advanced SQL queries and other database functions
• VB Basic Programming.
• A good understanding of spreadsheets, graphing data and data analysis.
• Strong ability to work independently, in tandem with another programmer, or as part of a team, all with minimal supervision.
• Experience working with end-users to define requirements and design technical solutions
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong listening, persuasion and negotiation skills, documentation skills, attention to detail and strong creative problem solving skills; consulting experience a plus.
• Ability to take the business perspective and make complex technical concepts understandable for users.
• Project management experience is desired.
• Experience in one or more of the following areas are a plus:  healthcare information systems, financial data analysis, and/or material management.
• Must be able to travel to client sites within the United States.
