MetroSouth Medical Center Partners with Surgical Information Systems
ATLANTA – Surgical Information Systems (SIS) has been chosen as the perioperative software provider for MetroSouth Medical Center (MSMC), a 410-bed acute-care hospital located in Blue Island, Illinois.
MetroSouth Medical Center is the new name of the former St. Francis Hospital, which was acquired by MSMC Investors in a transaction completed in July of 2008. MSMC management evaluated several perioperative systems and identified the SIS Solution as a system that would enable them to attain significant operational turnaround for the facility. SIS Rules-Based Charging (RBC), an HFMA Peer Reviewed financial system, factored heavily in the decision.
