St. Vincent Medical Center – Los Angeles, CA
Operational Excellence Award
The team at St. Vincent Medical Center utilized SIS to affect substantial operational turnarounds through an improved staffing matrix and scheduling process.  Results include significant business growth, increased staff retention and satisfaction, improved room utilization and savings of $45,000 a month due to the elimination of traveling nurses.

Central Maine Medical Center – Lewiston, ME
Financial Excellence Award
Central Maine Medical Center staff has focused on operational efficiencies as a means to grow surgical volume and improve their financial standing.  In a four month time period, their efforts prevented $119,000 in lost charges.  By reducing room turnover time by 30%, they were able to increase the number of cases per month by 9%, significantly increasing OR revenues.

St. Vincent Health Center – Erie, PA
Excellence in Patient Safety Award
The OR staff at St. Vincent Health Center has made tremendous strides in patient safety during the past 12 months, developing best practices according to national patient safety goals and SCIP initiatives.  The center’s commitment to patient safety is evident in quality scores that outpace the national average by as high as 19%.
