Information from each phase is stored in a single database, so there is no need to spend time re-entering information. All phases of perioperative nursing are addressed in this module including: Nursing Pre-admissions Testing, Nursing Pre-op, Nursing Intra-op, Nursing Post-op or PACU, Nursing Post Discharge Follow-up and Quality Assurance.
To make the documentation process as fast and easy as possible, SIS uses a feature called Clinical Wizards. These wizards intelligently automate each step of the documentation process. For standard procedures, typical case data is preloaded for easy selection. Information in the documentation wizard can be personalized by user, facility, surgeon, case type, data entry event, or service; so it is precisely mapped to the way in which your nurses work. SIS’ easy-to-use wizards let nurses ‘chart by exception’ and support a hospital’s use of clinical pathways, and they drastically reduce charting times and errors by making the data entry of default values, timed events, and specific fields just a single keystroke.
