AmkaiOffice: Preference Card Module - March 28, 2019

This module is where you would create preference cards that are used within a facility to help streamline the data entry process through the different modules; from scheduling to clinical documentation management to billing. Preference cards can also help with projected case costing, scheduling conflicts related to equipment and supplies, and are designed to print as an accurate pick list for the clinical staff.

Preference cards not only help the scheduling team schedule more accurate procedures and resources, but they help the clinical staff prepare rooms for a procedure and help ensure that the environment is one that the surgeon requires for the procedure(s). They make the overall process more economical and efficient for the surgeon and facility.

AmkaiOffice: Cost Management - March 28, 2019

This module is where users can run Costing reports for Actual Costs or Estimated Costs within your facility. When run for Actual Costs the system will use the data entered into Clinical Documentation Management (CDM) for the selected case. Estimated costs will be calculated based on the preference cards. The budget dictionary for your facility must be set-up prior to using this feature.

CDM Module is the heart of AmkaiOffice- where a lot of the other modules converge. Here you can either update or edit the patient case information. This is a key area where information entered in AmkaiCharts is automatically pulled into AmkaiOffice for use in costing, billing and reporting.

The Revenue Cycle Management module is a full-featured, automated Accounts Receivable management tool designed to improve the collector’s efficiency and productivity by centralizing all collection functions in one area.  This is where your collectors will come to work the A/R within your facility. You can turn accounts over to collection, generate collection letters to be sent to patients, set follow-up dates and many other A/R components.
